"Best treks", a great comment and feedback that I was pleased to hear from our clients who took this first community ecolodge trek, that lasted for perfect 6 days. We started the trek after a long drive to Galeshwor , located to the north west of Pokhara, where the sacred river Kaligandaki drains down from Mustang valley after Tibet.
The lush orange farm and interaction with the locals at Bas kharka on our first day was wonderful, followed by the villages of of Danda Kateri and Nangi and Tikot and not to mentioned the highest and stunning hills of Mohare over 3000m for the remarkable views of mountains and the Danda Kharka located in the middle of lush rhododendrons forest was truly a place to be remembered and cherished for the life time. At the same time the meeting with the Magar community and their cultural display was also the highlight of the trip.
This is the trek with cause, that support the local communities, who is truly working together for their sustainable developments as a whole and Nature-treks.com (NTH) is involved to work together with them. At the same NTH and the whole community is very careful to have any impact on the environment and culture but promotes the conservation and preservation of nature and culture.
This was a fantastic trek. We got the chance to see a close-up of village life as well as trekking in one of the most scenic areas of Nepal. I'd recommend this trek to anyone who wants to see a little of the 'real' Nepal, as well as enjoy the beauty of the Annapurnas.
